Suspension inactive after wheel alignment?

Hi Peeps! Took my L322 to local tyre place for wheel alignment. As I drove off I got the dreaded bong, abs light, exclamation symbol and suspension inactive on the dash.
The car locked in normal height until I got home. Restarted the car, cycled through the height settings, no warning signs etc.. trundled down the road up to 30 mph and bong! Checked for a code on my diagnstic tool and "canbus fault" came back. Took the car back to the garage and up onto the lift to check for any sensors being disturbed etc.. during the alignment, all seemed OK. Live readings on the front height sensors showed a discrepancy which I put down to allowing for driver weight.
I tried a hard reset on the ecu and steering angle etc.. still have the suspension inactive message after setting off and hitting 30 mph?
Any ideas? Never had a problem with the suspension in three years of ownership, did the garage move something or is it just a coincidence that a fault occurred at the same time?

Steering angle sensor wants recalibrating maybe.

It should reset itself after a mile or two of driving? But to be sure, have you done a full lock to lock?

Did lock to lock steering angle sensor recalibration after ecu reset. I can't see that the alignment would have effected the electronics? It wasn't jacked up, they did move steering lock to lock without the engine on before centrering the steering wheel? Seen a few posts which say that the CANBUS wires are sensitive... not sure where they are and there isn't anything near the tie rods that could have been knocked? Must be something in the air as my P38 is also being a dick at the moment!

Height sensor wiring is super thin and gets very brittle! Snaps inside the plastic sheathing… Go round the car and gently pull the height sensor wires one at a time. Pound to a pinch one has broken…
Fix this fault monthly if not weekly at work! 👍

Took the car out today very gingerly and no warning lights or suspension issues?! So who knows what was up, car must have had a "brain fart"?

Fault could have been caused by low battery voltage, if the mechanics had the doors open, etc., without the engine running it could have drained the battery slightly or enough to cause the fault. These fatties are very voltage sensitive, many's the time I've had faults pop up and disappear due to a fluctuation in battery voltage.

Could have been a drain, battery is a recent big amp Bosch and the old gal is getting used most days? I think she was just giving me a "don't get too comfy" prod after a local F%&kwit made the "their nothing but trouble" comment last week... ironically he only drives old Italian motors! Love my L322 and "grabbing a large piece of wood" she has been very reliable with the right type of care for the last three years! Taxied friends around Norfolk a few weeks back on holiday and now their looking at getting one.
