Washed bird poop off it again for the 3 day in a row, then did a short 5 minute trip to work in it

Replaced the front discs and pads to stop a very annoying squealing. This on an FFRR that has only ever seen main dealers. One caliper retaining bolt had been incorrectly threaded into caliper half stripping the ally thread. So either done by a dealer or at manufacture. Not very impressive!!!

I left after the race and stayed over in Calais before driving to Leeds via Nottingham. Was worth it for the race. Also it turns out that a FFRR can nearly hold more beer than a stag party of 9 can drink over a long weekend if you put the seats down.

Took for MOT, and passed, after minor headlight adjustment (as expected after I had taken them out to fit my DRL's)

Fitted new radiator (old one had started leaking as per LR TSB), also decided to fit a new air-con condenser when i was in there as I got an OEM one for £100, and decide to fit a new expansion tank just for good measure and because it was only £18 from Duckworths.

On hols in sunny Cornwall and the sat nav shows a continuous road around Cape Cornwall. SWMBO's OS map shows it cut off at the bottom end of the peninsula. So we drive down first road and get to the point where it should stop, just two large stone gate posts and a rock strewn road beyond. Had a short walk along and looked ok, so off we go.

Not today, but picked it up in Glasgow on Friday afternoon, straight into a massive storm with about three inches of water on the M8... Gave it a good roasting down to the Solway coast for a weekend's shooting which got cancelled, drove it round and about to a couple of farm parks which the eldest loved, drove home yesterday and was going to shift some livestock but couldn't get the detachable towbar on 'cause the female bit had crusted up so had to ditch it at home and use the Classic instead. Which still felt charming, despite my spending the last 450 or so miles in our lovely new Rangie. We've a few cars that we're never going to sell. My mk2 GTI is one, as is my Classic RR. Her TT is another. I think we've added another to the list.
