Is it a 3.6 I presume, being a 2010?

No, 4.4 TDV8, and "lowish" mileage. Rolling with laughter

Maybe I should not say this, but have you consider the Toyota LandCruiser.

Before my 4.4tdv8 I had a 2004 Land Cruiser and I have to say that it is bullet proof and maintenance is cheap

With 300.000kms I had to change the rear air suspension and it cost me 700€

And a good thing about these cars is thar they keep the value

I know it is a different type of 4x4 but it is a great car 2012 Range Rover 4.4 tdv8 Autobiography

We had a 100 series landcruiser and it just kept needing repairs, even more then my 06 L322 SC. And it was fuel system, steering rack, AC, suspension issues. It never left us stranded but it was not reliable at all, at least not "Toyota like".

We had an Estima as well, great car but again quite some costly repairs AND left me stranded twice (duff alternator), belt tensioner (expensive !!!!), radiator (expensive !!!!).

My current L322 (see profile) just had its water pump done, the first big repair for a 11 yr. old car (the Estima and Cruiser were same age) with 179k kms (Toyotas were similar mileage). It hasn't failed me at all, it just runs (mind you, I keep up with its service).

Statistically LR products are not doing well, I think the main reason is, people skimp on maintenance and LR products just take less abuse than Toyotas. Some components in LR products are still not proper quality (turbos, cam chain tensioner guides, turbo hoses, EGRs, to name a few) but overall the quality is getting better and better. The complexity of an average LR is also much higher than a Toyota and that means more failures statistically.

If you get a L322 again (never go down to smaller models, unless you think it is too big, you won't like it I'm sure), take your time to find a good one, well serviced and well maintained, driven with car and not reckless abandon and I'm sure it will serve you well for a long time (as long as you stay on top of the maintenance.). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

What's the service interval for particular parts on the 4.4?

I'm assuming there's an auxiliary belt and tensioner change at 100k and the ZF box is 'sealed for life' I.e. service before 150k?

And I'm assuming they're chain driven engines so, no maintenance needed there.

And what mileage do I want these on? Less than 100k? Less than 125k? Less than 200k? Doesn't make a difference? 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

It looks brilliant.

Think you’ll get it for £11k? Supply is tight and that will sell, great spec and colour combination. Be interested to see the quality of the warranty

Yes, plenty to bargain with there. The vehicle looks honest... needs paint here and there. Looks like dent on top tailgate...

Has RSE... £2500 option....

The advert is a bit off though, the hifi isn’t upgraded and it doesn’t have the design pack.....

You ought to get more warranty thrown in.... those look like full warranty charges there. Or at least nearer to “cost”....

I think I'm mainly looking at the fact it's 2 owners and full main dealer history to Jan 2020, of which he's sent me photos of the service book and print out of works from JLR.

Oil cooler seals were done in 2017. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

I had a Ford Explorer for 17 years and it towed my caravan and horse boxes out of muddy fields with no problem. Worth a look?

I went and viewed this car because it sounds good but walked away:

https://www.straffordcars.co.uk/used/cars/...uto-18863/

When I arrived, the car had a flat tyre and awful I think - a load of chemotherapy paperwork of the previous owner's in the glove box. This set my alarm bells ringing before I'd even looked any further that the dealer clearly hasn't prepared the car or cares about it, despite being a reputable dealer with Porsches and Bentleys on the forecourt.

Once I'd said hello and got the keys, I started having a good look round. The tailgate strap bolt was out - I was thinking why on earth hadn't they bothered to just screw the bolt back in for sale? I also found the passenger cooled seat wasn't working, the tracking was very far out (made me think about the roll bars / suspension arms potentially needing replacing) and rather dangerous, the nearside brake pad wasn't connected to the caliper and was hanging against the hub - not even on the disc! The sunroof also wasn't closing properly.

There was also a metallic repeating sound when idling - I suspect this was the tensioner on the auxiliary belt. Also, there seemed to be a tuning box / fooling device on the airbox which was unplugged - I can only assume it's a cheap one been plugged in at some point to fool the MAF sensors.

So, in all, the car clearly hadn't been prepared for sale or inspected whatsoever so, the right decision was to walk away on this one because I can't trust that dealer and the condition was poor really, given the car is only 10 years old with 2 owners. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Is there a mileage I should be aiming for or does mileage not really matter on these 4.4s? 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
