Soak with Plus Gas, WD40 is rubbish as a penetrating fluid. There are others, just not WD40. BMW i3 Electric Car

Instead of WD40, there are several other products that may be useful to you, see the below link, similar stuff is available at Euro car parts and other stores

MTG , is the sensor you are attempting to remove on the right hand exhaust manifold as you look at the front of the engine ? .

Hi Paul. Yes it is. I thought if there was an issue with the Throttle Body, it would throw up a DTC code?

I replaced my throttle body and it cured it . I also had that sensor replaced because i wanted to get rid of P040D code at a much later date . I ran with that duff sensor for 2 years without issue but OCD got me in the end !!.

Cheers Paul. Access to the heat shield bolts for the sensor is not progressing as well as I would like...

The Thottle Body chang made no difference at all. I am still trying to get the EGT sensor out. Hopefully once complete, I can carry out a Forced Regen of the DPF and my problem will be over. ? |

I'm really sorry you had no luck after changing the throttle body . I didn't have any dpf issues just restricted performance . As I said changing the body cured it .
