Started the car in access mode and left the house, some 2 - 3 hundred metres later I get the well known bong and a message saying "slow down or car will lower the suspension" (that was the gist of the message) so the car had put itself into off road mode all by itself!

I'm not worried about it, but just wondered if any one else has had this happen Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006

Once in a blue moon mine does the same. Another once in a while trick it does, is when stopped at the lights for a minute or two, it will suddenly decide that the front is a little too high and drop it a smidgeon. I wouldn't worry too much.
