Hello all was driving on the motorway tonight and had a pop under acceleration followed by restricted performance.
Had a quick look and ide say it looks like the LH intake has split I was In my best clothes so didn't want to get too dirty and will investigate further on Sunday but would appreciate other peoples opinions or experience.
The 4 hoses have been replaced and inspected tonight.

If it is the Inlet Manifold, then it will cost c. £1600 to replace. Mine went on the Pax side and they are a known weak point - LR have had the part upgraded as the originals were unable to take the pressure of the 2 turbos and the flexing caused splits.

Get a high pressure test done for any leaks first. then do a search for "inlet" on here.

I would say it's most likely to be the manifold thats split as can also hear it with reving, I'll pressure test it and inspect Sunday. That's good news if they have a better quality manifold now do you happen to know the part number for the updated item or is it still LR034993

I’ve literally just had mine done. LHS too (3.6 TDV8). Specialist says this is now a common problem owing to age and mileage. Mine was a £700 fix with a LR indi using genuine parts if that’s a helpful barometer.

Pete, I think the number is the same but you could check with Duckworths.

Those look like replacement silicone connecting sleeves and possibly the jubilee clamp tightened a little too much placing extra strain on the plastic welded joint?

Yes there the replacment hoses I changed the seam where the manifold has failed shouldn't be affected by the hoses and definitely not overtightend, to be honest I've noticed since getting our car there has always been a missing of oil round the lhd manifold area so been failing for a while by the looks of it

Removal is quite a protracted affair apparently as the injector lines need to be removed hence the labour cost.

I can definitely see a fair amount of labour.

I've read through the manual and looks straight forward just a ball ache and injector no8 fouling on the inner wing for the removal so the engine needs lifting and battery side cover removed to gain access for removal, others have split the solenoid from the injector but my luck it would end up breaking so will just lift the engine.

Email sent off to Robin at duckworths for the parts and will post pictures in my thread once done.
