3.6 TDV8 Number 8 injector

Evening,
I had a cracked inlet manifold/rocker cover.
I have replaced that which involved splitting injector number 8.
Ever since I have had issues with the injector. it was ticking loudly and running rough. On my iid it was running around 5-600 with the other running around 1200,
I have just purchased another used injector to see if that will help. Now that injector is running around 1300 and the other 7 are around 600. At just over tick over it sounds like a old tractor, as soon as the revs pick up over 1000 rpm its drives great with loads of power and no smoke.

Does anyone know what the numbers mean?
Are there different injectors for different cylinders?
Do the injectors need calibrating?

I wish I had just loosened the engine mount and lifted the engine now to remove it Big Cry Big Cry

Any help and info would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Craig

Good news update.

I ended up buying a new injector. Fitted it by loosening 2 engine mounting bolts, jacking the engine up a couple of inched and removing the plastic that surrounds the battery compartment.
Finally the car is now running properly Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Great news I too have just had the manifold split on our 4.4 and the lifting of the engine seems the way to go as I was worried regarding splitting the injector and causing issues also dont want to dish the inner wing to enable removing.
