I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the "Autobiography" name did get something of a break from all early L322 models (2002 to 2009).

Does the new defender not have an option to remote start? I’m sure the Powerful UK petrol model has that. |

My Defender has both on the P400. However the FBH was a cost option and can’t be controlled with the app (just the separate fob). The engine can be started with your phone. |

Mine is exactly the same (FBH with the Fob, remote start to heat or cool through the app) MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Autobiography used to have a different meaning. I'm not sure when it became a trim level / options package. It used to meant some sort of special order, so even if you ordered the base of base models & has special paint, then it was badged AB. A mate of mine had a 2003 AB because he wanted black paint and a black interior and that wasn't an option at the time. I can't remember whether it was just in combination or whether one of them wasn't available as standard. Last edited by Alistair on 1st Nov 2021 8:23am. Edited 1 time in total |

Would be great if the FBH can finally be controlled from the app too. I can’t see any benefit on a cold day from starting the engine rather than the FBH.

I'm fairly sure that letting your car idle to warm up for 10mins isn't the right thing to do, not with a modern vehicle that doesn't need the carbs warming through anyway. Better to let it warm up more quickly by driving it, but doing so gently until it is up to temperature. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

You might be right Martin - I suspect technology in this respect has probably moved on, unlike me |

I had a MY16 AB with the FBH and you could control it via the App and fob. You couldn’t switch on the engine remotely at that time.

The Remote App for my car has a "Target Temperature" which you set, it then starts the engine for 30 mins max. All LR cars from 1984
