Parcel shelf trim

Before I go ripping things to bits and breaking more than I fix, does anyone have an idea how to fit this and remove the old piece.

I have some weird clip / holder things were the gaps are 9n your first pic, my first range rover definitely didn't have them but I don't know what they're for, certainly not parcel shelf as that sits below these unknown clips, Any idea?

I’m not too sure to be honest, this is my first Range Rover. Maybe for a luggage net or support?
