Cleaning light coloured rear loadspace cover

The loadspace cover on my L322,which is a pale colour, has become a little grubby but I am not sure the best way to clean it. Any recommendations/suggestions from those who have done it would be welcome.

Cheers.

H

I used a vanish sponge on light tan then a light grey one, stuck it out in the sun to dry , came out great.

Thanks but I can't find "Vanish sponge" as a product. Do you mean using Vanish solution with a sponge?

Sorry if I have misunderstood.

I have used a carpet cleaner (sprays warm water with dedicated soap and sucks it right away)
Excellent results, I was surprised how good it did and there is no issue with the fabric ever since. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

If its just dirt, any mild soap & pressure washer - not max setting and close range, but they are surprisingly resilient

I too have used Vanish, as a foam and left then worked in with a damp cloth that you rinse out in clean water as you go.

It’s just fabric, nothing special....

Just to give everyone a good laugh, at my expense, saw this thread earlier on and thought, les problemos, mine is nice 'n' sparkly, as I always look after it religiously. Thumbs Up

That was until an hour ago, went to muck out the horse and left the fatty drivers door open for seconds. Got back to the car and found the damn yard cat in the car, it had left a trail of wet muddy paw prints ALL over the interior, mostly, yes you guessed it, ALL over said Ivory cover Big Cry

Cover is now in the utility room ready to start cleaning Censored

Sod the yard arm, now starting the cleaning after opening a nice cold case of 'Old speckled hen' Thumbs Up
This way, at least I will enjoy it.

Yep, they are tough as old boots. my old ivory one was filthy when I bought fatty offroader, I used neat TFR, scrubbed it, then jet washed it off pretty close and it came up like new...!!!

Just make sure you get it all wet or it will dry with a tide line... Thumbs Up Pete

Pressure washer V's cat Rolling with laughter

Wouldn't have the heart, picked said cat up, off the cover ( Cat usualy sleeps in out stable on one of the horse rugs ) and it was purring it's bloody head off, so cat returned to nice comfy spot to get out of the rain, whilst silently cursing at the same time. Must be getting soft in the head as I get older Whistle

Cheers Haylands, know what you mean about the tide line Big Cry from the first time I cleaned it.
