Just had my brakes done with all gen LR parts and still squeak exactly like yours. |

Squeaking is usually caused by high frequency vibration of the pads between the surface of the disc and the piston of the caliper. Genuine Land Rover pads mitigate against this through a self adhesive backing on the shim that bonds to the face of the caliper pistons. Another way to achieve this is to apply a ceramic grease (not copperslip or any other mineral oil based grease as it will rot the piston boots over time) to the face of the pistons to achieve the same effect. I did this when fitting my aftermarket ceramic/carbon fibre pads the other week and they are silent. Kev

Thanks knwatkins, I will pass that on to them as it’s going back in on Thursday. I know that they did re-grease when it first happened but not sure what they used |

Wait till they bed in, they usually get better, they could be glazed as well, in which case do a few heavy brakes from motorway speed to knock the glaze off... Pete
