After having a flat battery recently I caught mine in the act when the instrument panel was kept powered, albeit very dimly lit, due to a park brake fault icon being shown. The fault is due to moisture getting into the PBM connector causing a comms fault which clears when the moisture goes. I'll reseat the connector when the mud dries-up but will connect the battery charger any night the car is switched-off with the icon showing.
