I normally get that build spec info, and warranty work records, from a LR Main Dealer partner that runs it off their system.

This is the actual system that they are using to print your info off.

I am having problems extracting data2.cab from the disc I made. It gets to 68% extracted and then stays at 68% although the Disc drive & hard drive lights are still flashing away?

The 68% dialogue box now say not responding...

OK guys I now have the system working on my Desktop and can use REG numbers or CHASSIS numbers to pull up data on the cars.

I would like to ask anybody with experience using the system why the data does not load into a printable form even though I have tried several methods I am guessing I am doing something wrong....

All the Data is there in the relevant tabs but I want it on a printable document?

Quick question, speaking as somebody new to Microcat and as someone looking to use it to gather more info prior to my first FF purchase - Having entered the reg number of a car how can I find what warranty work has been done (sure I read that can be found using this software)

Also aside from the obvious original spec and trim, what other useful info can be found using this software?

Thanks.

Or not as the case was with me Evil or Very Mad It appears that some dealers will release the warranty information and others wont Confused

Apart from build date and full factory spec Microcat is really only useful to identify the correct part numbers for a specific vehicle Wink

Has anybody worked out how to print the factory spec and other info on the various tabs?

When I select print preview the reg is shown at top but rest of the print page is blank?

Windows 7 64 Bit

Anyone managed to get it working with WIN7 X64.

Just tried and when Microlaunch tries to launch mclre it just stops, with no visible window.

Keen to know before I invest a few extra hours building a Virtual XP box?

Thanks
Steve

I did not use the microlaunch I open my version via the desktop icon created by SETUP that links to C:\MCLRE\mclre.exe

Not sure why the Microlaunch bit was included as it did not work me either and it was not needed anyway Confused

I work on W7 32b

Thanks for your replies, looks like the executable is not compatible with X64, and must run on an X86 (32 Bit) system.

Oh well, now to build a new XP Virtual Clone.

Regards,
Steve

Hi all

In reply to all the Windows 7 issues, i have installed microcat on Windows 7 32bit and it works 100% - i enabled the Windows XP compatibility mode just to be safe and it all worked fine.

In response to the microlaunch comment about it not being need - you DO need microlaunch as microcat works on a monthly licence e.g. April release, May release etc... so once May 2011 ends microcat will stop working without microlaunch. If you dont want to use microlaunch you will need to change your system date to the date you installed microcat to get it working again, microlaunch does this automatically for you when you load the software.

If I click on my icon leading to: C:\MCLRE\mclre.exe - all work fine:

If I click on my icon leading to C:\MCLRE\microlaunch.exe - I get the "MicroLaunch - visit www.lr4X4.com program box come up with link to executable: C:\MCLRE\microlaunch.exe in box and "look for main microcat window" box is ticked.

When I click "OK" nothing much happens.....
