Believe me you would, it's not just the cost, more the range, as said earlier, it can be really boring to have to stop every 250 miles! I filled up twice on Friday! Fortunately with LPG, so cost wasn't a bother, but it's still very tedious standing at the pump so frequently! The only saving grace with the LPG is that you're always consicous that you're paying half price, which takes the sting out of it nicely. Also, with the LPG, I can have a Range of 500 miles easily by using both LPG and Petrol, sorry, going OT.... Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining! |

I've driven all three and I vote for the 5L Supercharged not so much for the performance which the 4.4L TDV8 has plenty of but it beats the diesel for refinement.

You must have been really hammering it to only get 250 miles put of a 100 litre tank!! I can get around 400 miles out of my 4.4 v8 petrol when I fill the tank to the brim Matt |

5.0 SC for me. As stated if anyone finds themselves considering a new one, knowing full well what the depreciation and general running costs are then fuel bills are a minor IMO |

Some people don't like having to stop several times a week and spend ages filling it up though.

You're right, I was being very conservative. I usually refuel on petrol between 250-300 miles, but then I'm only putting maybe up to £100 in, so it's far from a full tank. The S/C gives me around 16.5mpg overall. Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining! |

If you're too lazy to fill it up, I can understand you prefer Diesel. Petrolheads will find that driving the 5L Supercharged is worth the extra effort and cost of filling it up though. I'm in the process of converting myself also. |
