Wow what a thread. A great reminder to stay away from Reddit, people can't read and have no appreciation/understanding of how things are in other countries...I find that Facebook groups attract similar kind of dumb audiences...

There is one drawback with less common interior colours, and that is finding parts on Ebay and the likes. Heck even with a black interior I found it hard finding a parcel shelf for reclining rear seats.

Going in for check up today

update

Car back from inde, one intake hose clamp loose otherwise all ok

Proactively replaced:
Alternator
Starter
Belt, water pump, pully, tensioner etc checked , one belt replaces
Rear brake replaced (front renewed by previous owner)

A service

Underside of car very clean. Appears front struts replaced with bilsteins at some stage, but rear looks original.

Todo:
Apple carplay next week
Paint correction still thinking how to tackle this
Proactive Service of compressor
Second set of wheels with AT, not sure 20" or 19" any recommendation?

apparently it is not the end of the story..

Today I experienced non start condition again, car was parked up at the mechanic for a few days prior, do i have a parasitic drain? what could it be now?

used a noco to start without issues and since then have it on a CTEK MXS15c charger and seems ok

...Ideas?

2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

Just a thought with the drain has it got a tracker fitted? I have read about quite a few issues with old trackers never being removed. 2007 TDV8 VSE

GPS tracker in case of theft. generally well hidden from view and unmarked. 2007 TDV8 VSE

2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

The gearbox is only rated at 750Nm IIRC so be careful with Grand Prix starts..!! Pete

I am told the torque limit programmed into the TCM is 850Nm. ZF rates the torque capabilities of the 8HP70 @1000 max.

update

Car is all sorted now, thanks for all your help along the way.

Things I have done:

Replaced

- Starter
- Alternator
- Battery
- Starter switch
- 4 x HVAC stepper motors
- Drivers Set Base cover
- air compressor desiccant
- Relays (40 and 70 amp)
- Rear Shocks

Addded:

- Second battery (yellowtop + traxide)
- Carplay
- Interior bulb replacement with LED
- FBH remote/receiver
- Rubber mat
- Falken wildpeak on 10 spoke wheels

Resolved: (edited)

Looks like Charging issue can be cause by various things:

- Interference
- Short
- Loose terminal
- Poor Earth
- Battery programming

Have cleaned all the major electrical contacts etc and the car is much happier.
