5.0 Supercharged coolant flush

Hi all,

Checked out the procedure in the L405 workshop manual to drain and refill the coolant. It seems a vacuum tool is required, is this something we can no longer DIY and will need to go to the shop for?

And I thought my p38 was difficult Laughing

It depends upon your car maintenance skills. If you are reasonably competent, there are coolant pressure test / vacuum test / filling kits around, some are not too expensive. But you may also need a compressed air supply for the vacuum use. Have only seen kits with hand pump for pressure testing, not for the vacuum, that is usually with an air supply. If you or a mate have the air supply, bingo.

There are several 'how to use it' videos on you tube etc. Relatively easy to use, especially as you already have the procedure.

Edit - If the extra tool costs are unwanted, at least you have some Independent LR specialists to call upon in Perth. Thumbs Up Just as well you don't live in Dampier / Karatha etc Rolling with laughter
