United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Santorini Black
Westminster 4.4TDV8

I have been offered this vehicle, it’s a one owner with part service history at Land Rover rest by independent. Mileage is 67500, it’s normal Westminster spec with rear entertainment system. Where can I find a list of the standard spec and is there somewhere I can get a valuation?.

Stick all the details on WBAC & that will give you a basic trade price, then go on Autotrader 'value your car' & do likewise. Good tip, on Autotrader select 'buying' not 'selling' as you'll be inundated with 'are you ready to sell' from AT.
This will then give you a 'private' valuation & also a 'dealer' valuation.
Off the top of my head, assuming it's a '12 plate, I'd say between £14k-£16k? 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

I was just browsing autotrader for 322’s and prices at the moment are very strong. Lowish mileage 12 plate 4.4s are up for between 16 and 19k. Even the 3.6’s are 13-16k There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

It’s value is only what it’s worth to you Wink

Ultimate it is a 9 year old vehicle of a model that that was replaced 9 years ago. And Westminster spec, whilst it has some unique features that other levels do not offer, is the entry level. And then it’s also a diesel that is not ulez compliant. To me it wouldn’t be worth much, and the asking prices at the moment are just plain ridiculous in my opinion.

To me it’s basically a £10-12K vehicle tops.

^ the non ULEZ is one of the reasons I got rid of mine, (though if I had waited 12months I would have probably got a bit more...) they should be a 10-12k car. But at the moment folks are chancing their arm and trying to get silly prices. If the OP has a good deal on it and is happy the. Fine but personally I would wait a bit longer and the chances are that the high prices won’t last, so you end up in the position where you bought at the top of a market which then crashed! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks for all the replies, I have done the Auto Trader search and the quote between 15,000 and 18,000, a couple of months ago she told me she was having a piece of trim replaced on tailgate because it was water marked so I’m confident it’s had anything needed done to it. I am waiting for receipts of what work has been done over the years, it has never towed or been off road, I am both excited and worried about the possible purchase, excited because I’ve always wanted an L322, worried because of potential expensive problems. If I do go ahead I might have a gearbox flush done, I have read conflicting reports regarding whether it should be done or not I just want to lesson any problems down the road. Thanks again.

how many miles is it on? In terms of the flush then I would get a gearbox oil and filter change as a matter of course, as well as having the diffs and transfer fluids changed. It just makes sense. It may be that the diffs and trans box had been done as part of a service, it is on the sheet for one of the services, so if it has been then Thumbs Up and just the gearbox to get round to.

Make sure to check to see if its leaking oil down the back of the engine, and check for leaks around the oil cooler, ask if its had the turbo mod done to stop it smoking on kick down, and if it hasn't then make sure to give it a boot full ever now and then. Loads of info on the mod on here, it can be done if it hasnt, but its about £1k job, some have needed it, mine never had it done and it never caused an issue. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

67,000 miles, if I do buy it all oils would be changed, I know some services have been done at main dealers not sure which ones. It’s probably not been driven very hard as done quite a lot of local runs. Would a flush of gearbox be best or just a normal oil change.

Personally, I would go for a megaflush of the gearbox, it will remove 90-100% of the oil versus 40% of the oil if you have a simple 'oil & filter' change. I had the megaflush in year one of ownership then oil & filter in year 2.
"done quite a lot of local runs" is a worry, these girls don't like short runs as this messes up the DPF so be aware.
If you can launch her up to 3000rpm [when warm] & look for any smoke out the back that will confirm whether she needs the turbo mod or not.

I noticed this in your previous thread "worried because of potential expensive problems". That's part'n'parcel of owning a FFRR.....get your wallet stuffed with folding stuff! Laughing

Good luck. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

Hello
Good luck next week re the purchase decision. You have always wanted one and now is your chance. First off check it over or have pay someone to do so. I bought mine 4 years ago at lower milage and at a possible a high price. If do do buy it i would make sure you find a decent garage who can and will be able to look after you.ie. proper engineers who have the knowledge - family business? M.D's aren't necessarily the only option. As suggested by the folks on here get all the oils etc changed as appropriate. As with any car if you look after it it will bring its own reward and the people on here have all the knowledge to help when needed.
Fact is they are a great car and obtainable for less than £65k.

Good luck
Dave
