Just wondered as you can see the gas struts in the gap between the rear glass and the pillars? Current stable:

I've often wondered the same Dan. Have a look at part number 'Land Rover DED500180'. I've looked at other cars and can't see anything fitted.

The early ones didn’t have them. They stop water running off the edge and dripping inside when you open it..... with water on... but they corrode quite badly and look a mess, so a few folk have removed them.

My 2012 has them but they do corrode and blister and look like crap.

Do you mean these? A lot of people take them off, people often think it looks cleaner without. I like them.
