United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black
bluetooth

Hi, just got my car two days ago black 2006 vogue td6, my htc desire connected immediately and once I put the code in it was fine, but now I find that every time I go to my car my phone asks me to put the code in to connect, I would of though that it would connect automaticlly , has anyone had this issue or am I doing something wrong.

My iPhone connects 99% of the time without issue, so it may be a phone problem. Try deleting the pairing fom the phone and then repairing to see if that helps, also check you have the latest software updates running on your phone.

chesh, its a known problem that if you switch of the BT on your phone after leaving the range ,when you come back you will have to pair up again...i believe a software update from the dealer solves this but they do charge for this...

My desire does the very same thing. I think it's to do with the phone and not the car. It's stays paired but every time you will have to enter the code to connect to the car. Never had this problem with my phone before the htc (blackberry bold).

Well, it sounds like a phone issue, I thought it was only the i phones that had bluetooth issues, I will get intouch with HTC and see if they can throw some light on the matter and if I get it sorted I will post it. Thanks for your replies, Its a great site with lots of helpful people.

Had the same issue with my Samsung Omnia7. Software update fixed it and enabled phonebook access too. Thankfully I got the dealer to do this before parting with cash for the car so it was free....

I believe wiggs can do an exchange unit for less than the dealers charge to update the it.
