Tightening bolts on Harmon Kardon speakers! Door card off?

Hey everyone,

Just joined on here because, I tend to get tumbleweed on rangerovers.net.

I have a 2006 3.6 facelift Vogue with the Harmon Kardon system (I believe not the top of the range system, which had the twin port Subwoofer and speakers in the rear pillars but, I could be wrong).

Over time, some of the bolts have come out of my speakers and they rattle in their panels (namely the drivers door and the Subwoofer). The Subwoofer is pretty easy to access and replace the bolts. My question is for the driver's door, it looks like the panel for the speaker just pops off without needing to remove the door card. Can anyone confirm or, do I need to remove the door card to access the speaker bolts?

I’m pretty sure it’s door cards off like on most cars. But mine is a my2010 so perhaps it is different.

OK, understood.

I wondered, as it looks like it separates.

I will remove and add new bolts with thread seal tomorrow.

Subwoofer sorted. This was just needing new bolts.

The low range in the driver's door was actually suffering from coil rub. I tried to gently take this apart to grease however, the terminals inside are actually glued to the cone instead of soldered and, the glue broke.

I don't know what i'm doing at this point and judged it best to replace.

Have a little look on here there’s lots to find but mainly infinity kappa and Mather infinity reference component speaker are 2ohm like these but the kappas certainly are woven Kevlar so have a far better longevity Current stable:

Job all done.

A new low range speaker was only £50 from the main dealer and is an easy job. I also took the liberty of replacing broken door clips whilst I had the panel off.
