Headlight cleaner

If this has been posted before please delete.
There are quite a few vids on utube about headlight cleaning. Our 2006 were quite bad so we gave it a go.
We used Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish and an orbital polisher/buffer. We done each light three times and very pleased with the results. The op said do them twice but these needed an extra buff. It took us 15 minutes per light. 1983 Range Rover Classic red CHP 723Y

That's great to hear! Please post updates every now and then so we can get an idea of how long this lasts.

I just got my RR (bought it this past Nov) and was lucky the lights were in like-new condition. I then had PPF (Paint Protectant Film or a "clear bra") applied to the front end including covering the lights. I've done this to all of my cars since '06 and this stuff works great! My last car, an '06 Honda, the lights were still in perfect condition when I sold it last month.

Thanks!

Hi Larry, you make the stuff in the States. Our son lives in Pittsburgh and he could get it for a few $s. Not worth sending over, the postage is more than what we could buy it for. It will be interesting to see how long they stay clear. Our car is a tow car so not many miles per year.
Did think about a layer of "clearcoat" but decided against it.
Wish we had done a before and after. B

The lens looks great to me! Hopefully it'll stay that way for a long time!

Please keep us posted with updates so we'll know the longevity of this fix.

Good luck!
