4.2 vogue/sport exhaust manifold question

Does anyone know of the ff and sport use the same 4.2 supercharged exhaust manifolds?

I have managed to get a genuine cat off a sport with less than 5000miles on and whilst I know the post cat differs - I can get this cut and welded here I’m wondering if the pre cat join to the manifold would be the same? Current stable:
2006 BMW M6
2007 4.2 V8 S/C FF
Gone:
2002 4.4 V8 FF

Ok found my answer they are different... looking at them they are very different the sport looks basic and the ff looks like a balloon why would the be such a difference in design? It’s not just that the pipes are longer or shorter looking at them Current stable:

This could be me soon and I will be looking at after market cats, not thought of the sport.

Are the sport cats and the FF cats the same? because if so you could cut both ends of the cat and use the FF parts with the sport cat?

They are Both down as KAT062 so the cat I believe is the same but pipe work different Current stable:

OK so its possible to do, I know the same will happen with aftermarket cats (or at least on the ones I've looked at so far)

Using Sports cats is an idea but are they much cheaper, I guess not if they are the same.

Not looked at getting cats from a breakers so that may be an option as I'm not keen of paying £1300 for RR parts.
I have seen aftermarket cats for £140 each but as I am not an expert I do not know if they are suitable. There must be some specs on things like flow rate and number of cells that the 4.2 needs.

I’ve now ended up with three used cats Laughing I bought a pair (only sold as a pair Twisted Evil ) of sport cats used and planned to sell one - meanwhile i found one for the l322 that I needed. I had them weighed in at £350 per cat if you want one of the sport ones before I sell them to the metal guys I’ll sell for the same price plus postage. Just selling the sport ones as the l322 will bolt straight on mine Current stable:
