I can't remember what I did on the motorised sid to get access to rotate them / oil them.
It's a while ago. I remember I separated them via the single screw on the long linking rod, but my brain is empty after that - sorry.
For info they're not a Land Rover design, they're originally from Ford US or a Ford US supplier, but tailored to suit the Range Rover.
When I was originally looking for info about them I found various pictures of almost identical units (the brackets & motors - NOT the actual steps) on Ford Explorers, Rangers & Expeditions .
