Be careful with stainless nuts - stainless steel can gall quite badly making them very difficult or even impossible to remove.

Keep checking on EBay, I bought a set of solid galvanised steel nuts about 4 years ago for less than the price Dan was quoting at the time. Apart from having tarnished to a darker shade than the wheels they are still as good as new., but sorry I can’t remember who supplied them.

I think this has its origin in the 80's when almost all cars came with steel wheels and people replaced them with expensive alloy wheels (AKA Carlos Fandango wheels....) There was a ready market in dodgy alloy wheels, cash to the bloke in the pub car park and looking smart on your Allegro the day after....!! Now that virtually all cars have alloy wheels there's not the interest anymore in knocked off ones. Doubly so now that scrap metal dealers aren't allowed to pay people in cash. 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography (2021-2024) - Santorini Black 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster (2016-2021) - Santorini Black |

They are expensive for wheel nuts but should in theory never need changing again! And are Genuine JLR... We sell them at £125 a set + postage (including a bit of a discount to FFRR members) 👍 |

Just out of interest Craig, I have had my car for just over a year now, it's a 2011 AB. At what age do the wheel nuts, in our climate start to swell on average? |

I think that's real bad mate for such an expensive car. Trouble is I want a shiny finish to them. How do yours look? |
