Have you taken the unit out yet? you could try BB Reman they take all sorts of stuff apart and fix.

When I got my one out I found that the plastic ducting was cracked across which stopped it working, I got a new one from Dan, Duckworth`s there is a Ford Mustang part that some here have made fit?

There's a lot of info on here if you search for this. Try peltier, heated seats, cooled seat etc.

Let us know if the control lights do anything and if all the seats are not working, or you can get cooling or heating out of any. More info always helps Thumbs Up

There are filters on each one, so check they are clear, just a pad of material which can be cleaned. If they are dirty I think they cause overheating of the peltier cell and it cuts out. Then as above for getting it out and checking the ducting. IIRC there are two units in each seat, and I assume you're talking about the front seats (base and back).

As I say, do a search. The units are expensive Shocked and some investigation may save your wallet grief, and you if the head of household finances finds out Mr. Green

Have a look at this for a start. Crack a tin, it's long.

Hi I've had the seat apart and found the cracked duct . All the controls work and the seat I've got issues with starts up with the fan running then after 30 ISH seconds it cuts out .

I know you can pick up pelitors for next to nothing so I'm determined to buy the correct one to replace the broken one I have .
When I find the one to do the job I will put a pic and info list together and post on the site .

Watching this topic with baited breath and crossed fingers. Can’t quite stomach the cost of a new unit, but having switched the working unit from passenger to driver’s seat, I do hear quite a lot of moaning! Have kept the old unit in hope of a repair... Current: 2010 Range Rover L322

The bf went to the effort of removing mine only to find all the ducting etc was in place. The IID tool also showed a fault Big Cry

However he persisted with diagnosis to find that not enough power was getting to the rear back seat fans only the best part of 2 Volts vs 12. He cleaned all the battery terminals and earth and ever since they have been perfect infact they are absolutely toasty now and get warm really quickly.

May be worth checking you are also getting the full juice to them as mine presented like dead fans with no obvious fault the ducts were still really flexible and not brittle. To be fair it is clear the drivers module has been replaced at some point in its life on mine though Laughing 2011 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography
