RF Receiver-Central locking sync problem?

Hi All,
I've managed to narrow down my central locking problem to the RF receiver (I think!)
Is there anyway to test this before I order a replacement?
And is it a like-for-like replacement or is there a later part number to look for?

Thanks.
I've read all the different threads.
Was just checking to see if you can actually check the RF reciever unit and, if since the last thread (2018), anything new has come up?
Apparently not, so I've already ordered a like for like replacement, as I have as feeling that theres no quick cure.
I'll report back if all goes well!!
