Can anyone tell me if a typre shop can code tpms or do I need to go to a LR specialist.? 2013 L405 AB 4.4SDV8 Luxor/Ivory, 2007 Vogue TDV8 Epson Green/Sand, 2008 Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue/Sand, 2003 Vogue 4.4 LPG Epsom Green/Sage, 1998 Vogue SE 4.6 LPG Epsom Green/Cream |

MY 17 does it automatically when wheels are put on the car (i.e. the driving wheels) so if your spare wheel/tyre size is compatible with what you have on the driven wheels you could try putting the spare on one of the driven wheel positions. Not sure if earlier MYs the same though. The fact you are getting a reading from the spare however suggests that the wheel is recognised by the the car, could it be that the sensor is defective? Maybe try over inflating it to trick it into stopping warning you? You can always let some air out if you ever come to fit the spare. My experience has been that spares tend to signal low pressure when the weather gets colder, but measuring the pressure has shown them to be maybe a pound or so down, adding some air has solved it the last two autumns. had the same problem with my spare when it lost a little pressure due to not being used and it read nearly the proper 'on the road' pressure..

Thanks gents. Have inflated to 60 and still no better. May flatten and try again to see if it kicks the sensor in if not I think it’s a manual tpms reset. The wheel was taken from another vehicle as someone had swiped the one from mine. Before I picked it up. 2013 L405 AB 4.4SDV8 Luxor/Ivory, 2007 Vogue TDV8 Epson Green/Sand, 2008 Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue/Sand, 2003 Vogue 4.4 LPG Epsom Green/Sage, 1998 Vogue SE 4.6 LPG Epsom Green/Cream |
