When you think how much LR prices have gone up in recent years they was always going to be a period of adjustment, I would imagine the current economic climate has accelerated that.

They still look expensive to me with the discount Confused

Indeed, I do think the prices are becoming stupid. In 2011, a fully loaded L322 Autobiography was c.£90k.

That's inflation.....

£90k in 2011 translates to about £110k in 2019 and the list price of an P525 Autobiography is....£110k. But you'd get a minimum of 12-13% off, so it would actually cost about £95k. I don't think there used to be such large discounts on Range Rovers, so it's actually cheaper than it used to be and that's before you take into account the extra safety tech you get now. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

It’s not so much the price of the FF that’s surprising, they’ve always been silly money Laughing

I bought a Pre reg Disco 3 HSE in 2005 with very little discount for £34k, no real comparison in that list with the exception of the D5 which without discount would be north of £65k Shocked Admittedly more high tech, but they essentially do the same thing.

As for the Disco sport and Evoque, I sold a flat in North West London for less in 1995 Exclamation

What surprises me is what happened to the cost of generic cars over the last 9 years, since I first had a nice Freelander 2 new.

Due to some hideous employer company tax changes and general inflationary pressures, the standard issue company car is now a Focus 1.0 petrol Zetec (for “Zetec”, read “Popular Plus”). I was shocked to find that the buying price of the 1.0 litre Ford is now about the same cost as the FL2 2.2 XS was in 2011 🙀 So LR only seem to be charging the going rate.
