You could try IronX which should dissolve metal deposits (Think Wolf Chemicals do one called Brake Blaster but I've never tried it.)

After my brakes seized on the rear wheel had spots where the pads had shed a load of material and the ironX sorted it.

Interesting to watch as it makes big purple streaks when it's dissolving the iron deposits.

Failing that, isn't about time you changed your wheels? Wink

Megs Hot Wheels -BUT be careful you do not leave it on too long!

it will not cause damage but dries out

after cleaning use either a wax or 'nano' sealant which will make future cleaning far easier

To echo nick's comments above, I would recommend using a wheel wax/sealer after every wash. Personally I use Autoglym Alloy Wheel Seal. As it's spray on and a good price:

+1 for sealant- I use FK1000p, but I've just ordered some Gtechniq C5 Nano Wheel Armour.

To be fair though, in the spirit of bolting stable doors if your wheel are spotted an caked in burnt in brake dust all the sealant in the world can only put at best a faint glisten on a turd.

After the Iron Deposits are gone, I've used both Bilberry and Autobrite Britegel on some heinous wheels with good success. I like the britegel because it clings and can be left to work for 10-15 minutes before pressure washing.

That, the IronX and maybe some medium clay should shift it but then sealant is even more critical because the paint/PC will have taken a pretty major kicking.

After the FK1000p just a pressure wash will usually clean the wheels nicely.
