I had plates front and back stolen a few years ago, which I reported to plod. I never got stopped or anything and equally I never received untoward tickets in the post. So a good outcome, I guess. But the fact I never got pulled over after reporting the crime tells a story... L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

With ANPR/ technology, in these circumstances, expect to be stopped.

Hope that may help? Thumbs Up

Very easy to have the very latest technology when you start with virtually nothing & copy other countries R & D initially. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

Hmm I think you’ll be amazed by the adoption of technology in other countries. Besides it’s a sensible application of a technology, not a copy.

The London council that issued the PCN cancelled it based on ‘spot the subtle difference’ evidence offered that showed the car in their images wasn’t ours. Took them two months to reply Thumbs Up

And another one... has dropped through the letterbox for another London Borough. Another 4 hours of life we won’t get back notifying the authorities so as to get it cancelled Banging Head

Worth it.

Leaves them exposed as well. They’ve got a freebie at the mo, as soon as you swap the plate to a different plate they cease to be taxed insured and tested courtesy of you.

Also don’t forget that if they were involved in an accident your details would be involved and that would take more sorting out!

https://dvlaregistrations.dvla.gov.uk/buy....;price=250

Doesn’t have to be anything fancy either as above can just buy a different 14 plate....

Worth it for a couple of hundred quids to put them in jeopardy. They will then be at the mercy of ANPR cars etc. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Rang the MPS this morning. They hadn't put a PNC marker on the registration number last time I reported it. They have now. It's already on a private plate, that's the plate they're falsely displaying. Now going to swap the current plate for another private plate we already have... for the reasons you've highlighted nmj.
