How far will you drive for a RR bargain?

Whether it's to find the right used car or 'a bargain' part/ accessory...

My weakness is tyre bargains so if cash can be handed over for an unused tyre at a fraction of the retail cost, even if it means a 4 to 6 hour round trip... Off we go Shocked

Suffolk to Manchester for the right L322, 500 mile round trip, easy peasy!
Would have gone to Scotland or Cornwall for the right motor, mind you, we're all different. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

Did once go upto Lincolnshire for some wheels, and down to Milton Keynes for a roof for the M3.

Like to stay more local for cars tho. So they can go back if they go wrong..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Wherever the right car shows up. So for FFs that's been South Somerset to Cambridge, Hampshire and Kent so far - but I've been much further for others...the longest drive home being with one car I found in Jersey... Mike - MPx

Travelling any distance is fine for me BUT! Many places would be off limits if for example it had an adverse effect (weather for example) on a car's condition...

Just bought my latest ff from Torquay, 400 mile round trip.

12 years ago flew to Scotland to buy a Transit.

It was an extremely low mileage LPG example that would save me £200 a month in congestion charges (they were exempt from the charge in those days) Was also £2k less than I would of paid for the same thing in my neck of the woods.

Well worth a cheap easy jet flight and a day of my time.

Car wise Essex & Manchester from Nottingham for me, but rather the right car than a bargain Mr. Green

I used to travel all over the country so things like tyres etc, I’d go anywhere for a bargain because I was probably going there anyway at some point. Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
Previously George a 2007 MY07 Java Black VSE 3.6 TDV8

Well, didn't travel for the latest bargain in the end... Opportunity was there to do a 5 hour round trip for 2 x new 275/40/22 continental lx sport tyres for £320 or 'bite the bullet' Laughing

...and pay £350 to have them delivered. Think £350 is still a bargain Thumbs Up

A guy I work with is flying to Edinburgh from London today to view and probably buy a BMW i3 he likes.

I did tell him it's an 8 hour drive back and asked what's his range....

I don't mind them but personally I wouldn't go very far for an i3.

The right Range Rover? Definitely!
. Cheers, Greg
