Hi wanted to see if my iid tool would give me live data on oil temp in transmission but for some reason sais N/A on screen and no data on rolling graph. Am I doing something wrong or is there a special set up to do this?

I've not used a rolling graph option, but the iiD displayed the digital value fine when I used it for a transmission oil change a while ago. Nothing special to select it.

BTW mine is a 2006 TDv8 6 speed ZF, what model is yours ?
Maybe not an option on earlier GM 5 speed transmissions ? Paul,

There’s severaltransmission temps with the same name. Select all three (I think that’s how many) and one of them will give you the value you’re looking for.

Mine is a zf6 hp26 trans. I can get menu but when I select view on trans temp I get N/A displayed.

Mine shows engine oil temp & trans oil temp on the same list /option, under live values.

Hi as advised by Gap diagnostics I have updated tool to latest firmware but still getting N/A in 6 seed trans temperature. I use the quick list and select trans temp live value and it just sais N/A. Really want this to work can anyone help please
