Hi again! It's been months since I've had an issue!

Anything I have an 03 l322 td6, she's well cared for new alternator and starter motor. However the recent heavy rain seems to have caused some shorting or other and I have had issues starting culminating in a complete flat in multistorey carpark today.
I'm going to invest in a jump pack, any ideas what could be triggering it?

How old is the battery? Have you had it tested?

Battery is good. It might be a year old 2 max. Also alternator is 13.75 with the engine at idle...
I am convinced it is somehow related to water getting into something, although exactly what I don't know.

Neither do I.

the most common water ingress is into the rear nearside cubby...i'd take a look in there.. ... - .- -.

It won't start again this morning. Have hooked up a battery reconditioner. I have been doing a huge amount of short journeys as we are moving house.
This could have contributed

If you get the chance, charge the battery up and then disconnect the earth connection and leave it overnight. Then see what voltage is on the car in the morning.

To rule out if the issue is the battery?

I gave up bought a new battery and threw that in
I have the old one charging and if I destroy this one I can swap back!

I had something similar. Water was building up in the spare wheel well. When it got high, it caused the suspension air compressor to short out, training the battery.

Took an bung out of the floor of the spare wheel well and it's been fine since.

Also worth a look at the headlight wipers, if they are not parking correctly they will hold the BCM on causing a drain.

Especially if you have used the window washers with the headlights on in the bad weather.

Headlight wipers are all good. A new battery seems to have me sorted for the moment
