With the weather been nice on Sunday thought it was about time i gave the old girl a quick detail and get rid of the winter grime.
Unlucky bugs from a trip to the Lake District.
First of all I gave the wheels, archers and lower sections a quick squirt with some MEGS APC. Gave it a full snow foam applied extra thick to remove all the bugs and grime. Left soak for 8-10 mins whilst i cleaned the wheels.
Most of the bugs were removed
After a rinse with the jet wash most of the bugs and muck was removed. Archers where scrubbed. off road height was handy for this ![]()
Then onto the standard 2 bucket wash method followed by a clay bar. Few snaps of the clay bar.
After another snow foam and a dry I was left with this
Quick machine polish with a few different combo's to remove swirls and mask some of the deeper scratches. Found it hard getting pictures Before
After
Finally I hand polished the car with some Blackfire polish followed by some Blackfire wax. I cant recommend the blackfire wet over ice kit enough. More details here: http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/bl...-cat1.html Windows were also cleaned inside and out. Below are the final pictures after wheels, archers and side steps where protected
The amount of comments i get from friends and strangers regarding the condition of the body work and it looking a lot newer than it is makes the cleaning worthwhile. Anyway she's not doing to bad for almost 9years old. Sorry for the amount of pictures :D Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated ![]() ![]() http://gallery.me.com/paul_harland/100010 Range Rover Vogue TD6 2002 "52" Bonatti Grey |
