2002 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Bonatti Grey
Weekend wash/detail on the old girl............

With the weather been nice on Sunday thought it was about time i gave the old girl a quick detail and get rid of the winter grime.

Before pictures. The range rover doesn't look that mucky but it really was but the Bonatti grey doesn't seem to show it.

Unlucky bugs from a trip to the Lake District.

First of all I gave the wheels, archers and lower sections a quick squirt with some MEGS APC.

Gave it a full snow foam applied extra thick to remove all the bugs and grime. Left soak for 8-10 mins whilst i cleaned the wheels.

Most of the bugs were removed

After a rinse with the jet wash most of the bugs and muck was removed. Archers where scrubbed. off road height was handy for this Very Happy

Then onto the standard 2 bucket wash method followed by a clay bar. Few snaps of the clay bar.

After another snow foam and a dry I was left with this

Quick machine polish with a few different combo's to remove swirls and mask some of the deeper scratches.

Found it hard getting pictures

Finally I hand polished the car with some Blackfire polish followed by some Blackfire wax. I can’t recommend the blackfire wet over ice kit enough. More details here: http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/bl...-cat1.html

Windows were also cleaned inside and out.

Below are the final pictures after wheels, archers and side steps where protected

The amount of comments i get from friends and strangers regarding the condition of the body work and it looking a lot newer than it is makes the cleaning worthwhile.

Anyway she's not doing to bad for almost 9years old. Sorry for the amount of pictures :D

Looks exceptional Thumbs Up

Can I ask whether you washed and polished/waxed it in direct sunlight? The pics show it in direct sunlight but so many car cleaning products state do not use them on hot cars. FFRR TD6 HSE

Cheers guys

p-trax - have tried sevral products and was using Megs endurance tyre gel but gave the AG bumper gel a go and seems ok, will see how it lasts.

letsavit2 - will be my next task along with paining the exhaust and maybe brake calipers.

GregP - It's definatly not ideal polishing in the sunlight. I was just working small areas at a time then buffing straight of with a microfibre. The Blackfire polish and wax are ok in sun light was doing a full panel before buffing.

Has anybody noticed the very small modification? during the clean

Looks great... Bow down

My car is a similar colour and I hope it looks as good if and whenI finally get the time to give it a good machine polish....

I've got the Blackfire kit too, but maybe try Werkstat on my car when I get the chance...

I too am a customer of Polished Bliss, great outfit.... Cool
