Not sure if it’s a wheel weight or brake shield rubbing so haven’t yet jacked car up and rotated the wheels as yet, because:

As it’s been sat, I would give it a few miles before throwing the panic switch Ryan.🤔

220 miles in so far and the noise isn’t for shifting. It has now been described as like a brushing sound. It stops at about 75mph. Then at 75 mph the grinding/ brushing sound is replaced by a sort whirring/ low level whistling wind noise that sounds like its coming from underneath the car/drivetrain. The when slowing down to roundabouts and turning corners etc at about 10 to 20 mph it sounds (whilst under acceleration) like that grinding break disc noise. Annoying. |

still think you should take each wheel off and inspect.....i recall back in my days as a tyre centre manager a similar problem and it turned out to be part of a 'stick on' weight flapping about and hitting the disc shield.. ... - .- -.

Cheers... do wonder if it indicates “dry joints” type scenario 👍🏻 |

Not trying to be a scare monger BUT does the noise sound like its coming from towards the back and middle of RR ? Mine made a similar noise when diff seal was replaced incorrectly leading to failed rear diff, hopefully not your issue 2015 4.4 AB

Hopefully its not that , mine started to make the noise after approximately 2 - 3000 miles after the seal change. It got progressively louder after that. If nothing else its worth ruling it out 2015 4.4 AB

Ours hasn’t even done 2k miles since the seal got change in February. I’ve booked it with the main dealer that did the work but it’ll be next week |
