I have been very tempted to put a Mantec guard on my FFRR from day one! Had one on the D3 and I was also responsible for £30k worth of Mantec group buys on the disco3 forum! However, I hear that they are ludicrously expensive for the FFRR whereas we were only about £250-300 for the disco. Wow - nice set of pics Mark. Where is that from?

Dan, As far a strictly being able to hang under the vehicle - yes it would fit. But the guard mimics the plastic spoiler - and those are completely different between the original and facelift models so the bumper skin would not mate to the guard. The G4 guard for the older models looks quite a bit different:

Couldn't find a better pic quickly.

Edit: Although, looking further, this piece below looks like it just cups over the spoiler (kinda silly - mud bucket). I wonder... Mark, the piece above is not original Mantec?

You'd have to compare spoiler forms - or call Mantec (or the manufacturer of the piece above)

I do - and I believe Mark does as well.

Damaging something very expensive from underneath is one of my biggest worries.

LR had one of these fitted to their FFRR on the LR off road course at the Game Fair this year. Attempts had been made to disguise it by paint though...

Ohhh - thought you were laughing at us for being so fashionably off-road. Embarassed

Which we are, BTW, Mark much moreso than myself. Very fashionable Rolling with laughter

Mark, you never answered the question: who is this guard made by and where did you see these pics? (sorry, but I'm a stubborn s@)(&. ) Whistle

hi all they are all made by mantec the pre and post facelift front plates BUT if you call mantec they wont be very helpfull other than selling you a front guard like the one on the american FFRR which i believe will be about £700+ +vat

if people are really interested in these underbody protection parts i could be tempted to supply the

-front sump guard for pre facelift vehicles the same as the pre facelift g4 in the pic above
-fuel tank guards suitable for pre and post vehicles petrol or diesel
-exhaust guards for pre and post vehicles petrol or diesel (not sure about supercharged)

i will find out tomorrow what it will cost and put the prices up

all these will be made to better than mantec standards ready to fit out of 8mm alloy

i am by no means thinking of full production but if people are interested i will do them as one offs as i have all the info and machinery to do these so no need for a batch run if you want one you can have one

also available are the full range rover genuine winch kits minus the winch so you can fit your own spec / brand i can do the full kits for a very tempting price as ive got a few Thumbs Up onto no6 Range Rover
