Lack of main dealer software updates

Saw a post about a car which hadn’t seen in the inside of a main dealer for several years, and as part of service dealer updated all software

Apparently resulting in improved driving experience

If your L322 has not been serviced by a main dealer for years and had no software updates, have you missed out?
And do independents offer software updates?

Mine hasn’t been serviced by a main dealer for 7+ years. I haven’t felt as if I have missed out .....

Gap can supply the updates to use with an IID.

Personally, knowing how delicate fatty ECU's are I'd leave well alone unless you have a specific fault... just my 2p...!! Pete
