Hello,
I have recently bought a Vogue SE SDV8 2016 MY
The car has roof speakers and 2 speakers in the rear of the front seats, none of these work and i suspect they are dummies, as the remaining 8 all work fine.
I dodnt have the car booklet or original build spec, so Im struggling to know if the car was built with thme not working or if there could be a problem, I hope this makes sense?

There’s a problem.

This is where it can get confusing... There are options on certain models, i.e. optional 24way front seats but without the stereo/audio upgrade to match so... You get the nicer front seats with more moving parts but you do NOT get the speakers in the back of the seats, so you get blanks! Like you are explaining sir...

The speakers in the roof liner are to amplify speech between rear seat & front seat passengers... Now the kicker to this is... Im pretty sure the headliner speech system only comes with the uprated audio... So, i think the headliner gets fitted with the front seat option... So would be blanked too...

To be 100% sure, when your next cruising along at speed with a rear seat passenger, ask them to turn their ear towards the speaker and listen for your voice ... If it works it works if not then im guessing they are blanks too...

just to clarify, i have 2 speakers just behind the sun visors, one each side in the back of the car above the doors and one behind each seat. None of them work.

The ones that do work are 2 in each door and 2 in the back each side.

In the audio settings, i can select surround sound or stereo, does this help to identify it?

Thaks for that, its a pretty comprehensive list.
I couldnt see the info on the audio system but i will stare at it a bit more and see if i can spot it.

Im still fumbling around trying to locate where the audio fuses are and how to access them, any pointers please?

checked with the selling dealership just now - (after a long wait) and they said its the signiture system.

They gave me the full spec, albeit verbally:
signiture system.
Deployable side steps
Sliding roof
privacy glass
perpendicular parking
front massage - heating and cooling seats
22 turbines
rear seats 4 way lumbar

all the resrt as standard but now im annoyed because the music system isnt right.
i was hoping it might be a fuse but doesnt seem to be the case.

Hi Wilpert, if it helps I have the signature system and music should come out of all the speakers, including the ones above your head, ITS FOR 5.1 SURROUND SOUND and is amazing. I'll check my settings next time I go out, but there are a few options, from memory you have, stereo, Dolby digital and meridian digital. I know on the either of the two digital settings it plays through all the speakers.
