A bit of preventive maintenance at the garage today (CBA with lying on the floor under cars these days, so avoid wherever possible!), it's having diff/transfer box/ gearbox oil changes, new battery (wrong battery - non AGM - fitted by previous owner), oil cooler feed pipe o ring replacement, fix to sticky n/s rear brake calliper (doesn't brake as it should, lack of brake dust on the wheel as evidence) and finally, MOT. Expect this will cost a fortune, but nobody ever said Fatty's were cheap to run. Drives:

I’ve ordered a new offside wing mirror after meeting a low-flying pikey Transit flatbed doing Mach 2 coming round a sharp bend on MY side of the road on Sunday morning! 😡 It wouldn’t be so bad but it was a replacement mirror assembly that I only fitted less than a month ago 😭😭😭 L322 TDV8 4.4 - current

Took for MOT , flew through no issues and they commented how good everything was .......except 2 tyres have good tread but sides are deteriorating so advised new ones soon (which I thought would be the case tbh), so Question is what tyres do I get

Bought and fitted a genuine dog guard to keep our two dogs cozy and safe.

Off to Romania today to visit our Romanian office.

The distance is around 1500 miles from Folkestone to Bucharest. Leaving Folkestone today noon and should arrive early morning on Sunday.

Going via EuroTunnel through France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Hungary and into Romania. All bar about 200 miles is motorway so will enjoy a steady cruise of around 130 to 140 Kmh (80 to 90 Mph)

Have internatonal breakdown cover with RAC but have also booked additional 3 days cover with Eurotunel at a cost of around £32.

Looking forward to the drive....

New oil filter. Eliminated the occasional startup rattle...

Had a few bits come today, Navtool - to be fitted next week - and some replacement speakers for the drivers door, the small one from a scrappy and the big one - a genuine brand new JLR part for under £50 (probably could of got a generic one cheaper from Halfords buy hey - £50 for a genuine part).

Now to see how many trim clips I break getting the door card off
