United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Bonatti Grey
New member - My first Range Rover

Hi Guys,

Just thought I'd say "Hi".

Bought my first Range Rover in December and needed this forum straight away.

I've serviced her, changed discs and pads and replaced the alternator so far.

I've also bought the GAP bluetooth tool to clear and repair all fault codes, so fingers crossed everything stays like that!

Cheers

V Nice BUT

more piccies and details, mileage etc. please Thumbs Up

and good on the GAP, service and alternator change. Had that on mine just out of warranty, oh, and the battery went a little later. May have been related, but worth keeping an eye on. Glad you joined and that the forum was useful, same here.

Enjoy. Cheers
Richard

Cheers rjff,

Here's some details:-

It's a 2010 TDV8 Vogue with 62k on the clock. Bought it with 55k, so hopefully the mileage i've done I've managed to iron out the niggles.

I did have battery problems like you say, but a few charges from the CTEK battery charger seems to have fixed it.

I will try and add more pictures when I take them.

This is the interior when I purchased it. Note: the cup holder cover is broke, I've replaced this!

The 3.6L TDV8 (Wiped over it to remove the dust)

When I replaced the disc and pads I reconditioned the calipers.

During lockdown I've managed to give it a clay bar and wax.

I've read all the posts on here about how to get the alternator out without removing the big things!!
(Well all I can say is you must have smaller hands then me, Bow down ) I had to take to lot off.

Yes you do need hands like E.T. but with the strength of a Rhino. Not sure if you did, but you have to remove all the pipe work the hoses connect to above the pulleys, it just gives you enough room to wiggle it out without taking all the front off. Hope she went back together ok Thumbs Up

Very nice and looking good. I do like light interiors.

I folded in mid winter and had the alternator done for me. Although the 4.4 is much? easier I still found bits of technician's fingers in the engine bay Confused Can't complain, 3 hours quoted, took 6.5 and charged the quoted hours. Cheers

Hi, quick update.

I needed rear tyres for the 19in wheels that were on the car.
I managed to get hold of a brand new set of 2020 Vogue wheels in black with new Pirellis on 20in.

What do you guys think?

Love that, looks really good; just bought a grey one myself and have pondered black wheels already Smile
