Heres an interesting one.
2007 TDV8. Been parked up for a while. Whilst parked the battery earth is disconnected so it doesn't drain flat. Opened it with the key yesterday, no problem. With the battery connected locked it with the remote then disconnected battery earth again and shut bonnet.
Went back 5 minutes later, key in lock, turned key and the button only raised a wee bit (see photo) and door won't unlock. Nor can I open the bonnet as far as I can see without cutting off the grille. If I do that hopefully I'l gain access to the bonnet release then reconnect the battery to unlock with the remote. Anyone any experience of manually releasing the catch on the bonnet landing panel?
I don't really want to do that nor do I want to break a window.
Am I right in thinking it's deadlocked so I can't fish into the inside door handle with a bent wire to open it from the inside?

Any other suggestions welcome.
By the way its a RHD and the passenger door doesn't have the later 2nd key lock.

Thanks but no. His doors locks and unlocks ok, mine doesn’t. His problem is with opening the door from the inside. Mine is unlocking the door or opening the bonnet to reconnect the battery. Rehab is for quitters!!!

There are door lock repair kits on ebay for around a fiver.
As your button is moving slightly I suspect you'll just need to refit the parts to get it working properly again.

After that, fit a charger point to somewhere accessible outside and stop disconnecting the battery.

As to how to get in it in your current situation I'm sorry but I can't help.
