Scotland 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

Classic car, I had 2 Golfs, 16v and a VR6, still miss them. Also has a Corrado G60 but that’s another story.

Best it did that while it wasn’t being driven. Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Just had it back from the body shop to get the rust out of it, and have a full respray to make it nice again Smile

My daughter since then passed her test back in August, and now has a 3 Door Evoque Dynamic Plus as her daily driver...

Yes I drove it back today, very low power compared to our other cars, but way more smiles. And people are literally pointing and waving. So much love for it.

That is a beautiful car!

I had a Mk3 Gti 16v and loved it.

Obviously I’ve “grown up” now and have a FF Laughing What do I put here then?

Until recently had a Scirocco, such fun to drive, light nimble and surprisingly fast. Well done for restoring the Golf, looks fabulous.

Lovely to see such a beautiful original example. Thumbs Up

Sadly, so many of the ones I do see have been “stanced” or “slammed” with undersized tyres etc.

Hehehe it’s lowered by a fair bit. But we’ve quality and handling over silly stance. It is running on BC Racing BR coilovers with adjustable damping.

The E30 however 🤣🤪 Also nearly finished, just need some engine work. It’s bagged…

But again we did it properly and respectfully in my opinion for its age. That is the parked up stance. It has an auto rise feature when you start it. You wouldn’t know it rides in air except for the much improved handling.

Some subtle lowering and improved suspension components for improved handling is one thing. It’s also easily reversible, so doesn’t have a detrimental effect on the originality. I think your Golf looks great.

This type of thing was what I was referring to.:

I’m not against modifying, I’ve done it many times myself, to one degree or another. I do enjoy seeing an original(ish) looking example through. Thumbs Up

I agree. It makes me laugh seeing those done by cheap eBay special suspension parts and literally cutting the coils. The thing becomes undriveable. Same as with some exhaust, they just chop, cut and delete and it sounds rubbish.

I like modifying but also keep it driveable.

You mean those that don't have the money too do it properly. I've always been into the modifying scene but I prefer things too be done properly. Subaru impreza I've got says it all spending £15k on the engine
