I suppose I’d better take my head out of the sand and sort some IDP’s out.

I’m assuming that unless they sort it out as part of the Leaving deal our licenses will cease to be EU licenses on 31st as with our passports, as you say Andorra accept EU licenses but as they won’t be EU any more then in theory an IDP is needed.... In theory....

I did a quick search and my head hurts, all seems to conflict and lots of ‘maybe’ - and only if we leave without a deal - but Boris has a very good deal - so nothing to worry about then |

Looks like Andorrà needs IDP 1949 - which is the same as Spain - but Spain states that you won’t need one until 9 months after leaving and only if you plan to stay >6 months - so I’d expect Andorrà to follow that.

Our dogs are in Andorrà - coming back around Easter time, so I guess we will find out.

Interested to see how it goes the other way as I have a French driving licence. I have UK entitlement but you can't hold two licences at the same time. John

I’ve been to get my IDPs that are required for Andorra and France, and I’ve come away a whole £11 lighter.

Word of caution if you intend to drive a transit make sure the relevant section is marked on the IDP

Depends on the IDP and the categories on your license. My license is populated with everything except Bikes, coaches and HGVs.

It does seem that no one really knows - and I guess that will be mirrored inEurope also - so you could get a road side stop, or an accident and find that you’ve not got the right documents.
