Disconnect battery before removing top dash panel?

Hi all,

I’m about to attempt replacing the heater fan on my 2009 l332, I’ve heard all sorts of horror story’s of failed electronics when reconnecting the battery, what is the consensus? Those that have changed their fan, did you disconnect or leave connected but avoid the airbags? Thanks Ian

Personally I'd rather disconnect the battery and then muck about with electrical components and deal with reconnection afterwards.

The Battery was designed to be disconnected.

Currently mine is disconnected as is undergoing charging.

Best Rich

Shouldn't be any problems with disconnecting the battery, usually doing so can improve things if anything.
