Did you fit your car with a new AGM battery? (as per your earlier post) Cheers

Hi, yes I did, That got it back up and functioning as a system, I mean the fan runs and it works when requested. Just no heat from the FBH. So I'm assuming...... dangerous I know ! ... that the unit itself needs repair, parts, cleaning, etc.

That's good for a start.

What I would suggest is to download the workshop manual in the Wiki for the 2011 onwards FF. There is a section on the FBH in the cimate/ auxilliary section which makes good teatime reading.

Whilst that's downloading are you able to check the car voltages when at rest and with the engine running? This gives an indication that the car has a sufficient voltage at rest to run the FBH properly and that the same is true when the car is operating. It is reluctant to operate at below a certain voltage, aroumnd 11.5 IIRC. Might seem odd, but basics do help. Also are you happy wielding spanners?

And err, the fuel tank has to be over 1/4 full, I think.

If that lots alright, start the car from cold and see if the exhaust from the FBH is hot and that you can hear a ticking from the rear under the car. That's the FBH pump. If it's not running then there's likely further things ti investigate. Make sure you check the exhaust asap after starting, as if it's the chageover valves sticking the unit locks out fairly quickly on overheat. The FBH runs with the car to facilitate heating the engine coolant. Cheers

Thanks for that, I'll go do some checking. In the meantime its worth mentioning that this car has always taken an eternity to get warm air into the cabin.
