2004 4.4 v8 petrol gearbox woes

Hello all, my 2004 L322 has just turned over to 86 k miles and the transmission has started to judder . I've hardly used the car since. I was trying to get some Lubegard shudder fix into it. I have read that a full transmission and oil and filter change is the best thing to do, so I've had a search of the forums, before I put up this post. Has anyone put a how to guide with pictures on here. I spoke with my local garage but they wont touch it because "Range Rover gearboxes are troublesome" .
Can anyone point me in the right direction, or know of a garage in Cornwall that is competent enough to do it?

I've not tried it in Manual mode since I noticed the shudder. I might give it a go.
I'm going to drop the fluid and change the filter at the weekend.

If the torque converter lock-up clutch is the culprit, then it will sound a bit like driving over a cattle grid during the vibration. If you look closely, you should also see the rev. counter needle wavering a couple of hundred rpm in sympathy with the noise.

Although a friction modifier like Instant Shudder Fixx may temporarily mask the issue, it doesn’t put friction material back onto the LUC friction plate. It also effects the friction characteristics of the other 6 clutches in the transmission. If the resulting modified friction coefficient is still within the adaption range of the solenoids, you’ll get away with it. If it isn’t, you’ll get uncontrolled clutch slip and could trash your transmission.
