I wouldn't worry too much where they come from, mine were from China...like all the others you will probably look at. I would like to know where JLR got theirs from, because they're obviously ! |

Getting a response from them would be a start. Been trying to get hold of them for an IID tool and no luck, so less inclined to try again at the moment. Last edited by M@r]{ on 17th Nov 2019 8:42pm. Edited 1 time in total |

As the oem ones are so crap, is it worth just getting some of the same? Or go for an aftermarket set? But then how do know the quality is good? Bit nervous about risking that on wheel nuts! |

Just don't let an impact wrench anywhere near the new ones - that's what does them in - the wrench loosens the caps which then fill with water - freeze etc & swell. |

That’s a tough ask. So maybe the answer is to Go for a different design? |

It might have been true 20 years ago, don't get foreign 'cos 'British is best', but unfortunately that's not quite the case now. Who knows where JLR got their OEM wheels nut from?

Indeed - they are a thing of beauty, but I've never been able to justify it, though have come close.
