Rse screens

Hi all,

One of my rse screens has been damaged since I had the car (a wood incident I think) anyway no bother as I only have one little one...

So the other has been working fine but today I just have a white screen when it’s on - any ideas?

My first port of call was to swap the screens to check the wiring but I don’t know how to open the headrests you - any ideas? Current stable:

Gone:

Try finding the connections under the seat and see if they have dislodged, not unkown, and/or need cleaning. There's also a thread somewhere on here that I understand Cam Tech Craig wrote about replacing the screens but can't find it at the mo.

Look to see if you can remove any surround on the screen, it should just clip on/off with care along with the headrest cover to access it. There may be a connector in there.

Looking at the WM it appears the cable to the screen routes up the back of the seat, through the headrest pillar and to the screen. All sorts of gumpff about making sure the SRS is deactivated etc. so taking the whole thing out is a pain. Cheers
Richard

Are they factory RSE screens or aftermarket?

Wiring routing may not be exactly the same.

Thanks guys - they are genuine rse - it looks like (on eBay used screens) there is a plug on the screen hence why I want to swap side to side first if the covers pop off so I will start there and report back! Current stable:

Swapped the screens still just white guessing its Censored - I will try fiddling the cables first but if they are both broken this is the push I may need to dump the current ice and fit a new stereo as I have a plan but unfortunately it doesn’t involve rse Current stable:
