Take the lot out -- all units, get lots of contact cleaner and a soft tooth brush, clean everywhere, take the boards out of the boxes, leave to dry in an airing cupboard after using the contact cleaner, reassemble and plug back in, you may just be lucky.

You can upgrade the CD nav unit to a BMW DVD unit know as a mark 4 -- up to date discs are available for that -- simple swap just wait for everything to sleep disconnect the CD unit, connect the DVD unit Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I think when it's flashing it just means there's something wrong somewhere -- open the boot leave the car for 10 to 15 mins then unplug units, if you don't leave all the units to go to sleep they can screw up when disconnecting Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I think you'd have to ask yourself why it doesn't read discs -- if part of it is failing then all of it might! Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
